Why Certified Matters

What makes a Tesla Approved Collision Center different.

We focus exclusively on Tesla and Rivian. Your Tesla competes with nothing else in our shop.

Most shops hold Tesla certification alongside BMW, Porsche, and Mercedes. At those shops, Tesla work competes with higher-margin European work. At Alset Collision, it is the only work.

Your Next Few Days

The Tesla Repair Process.

Step 01 · Today

You call us

Tell us what happened. If you're filing through insurance, file the claim with your insurer and get a claim number before dropping off the car — that is the one thing we cannot do for you, because once your vehicle is with us, the repair clock starts and we can't have it sitting waiting for an insurance claim to open. Self-pay customers don't need a claim number — just call to schedule an estimate and drop-off. Not drivable? We can arrange towing from anywhere in the region directly to our shop.

Step 02 · Drop-off day

In-person inspection and teardown

All estimates are done in person at our shop. Teardown almost always reveals hidden damage that photos miss — we don't do photo estimates or remote quotes. We inspect, tear down, document the full scope, and submit it to your insurance if applicable.

Step 03 · While parts arrive

OEM parts ordered directly from the manufacturer

Every OEM part ordered directly from the manufacturer. Refinish in Axalta — premium automotive paint chemistry. We work with every insurance company on our own terms — no direct repair program (DRP) contracts dictating scope or procedures.

Step 04 · During the repair

Three text updates and two phone calls per week

You will hear from us five times a week: three text updates and two phone calls, every week your Tesla is with us. Every qualifying repair includes Autopilot and Full Self Driving sensor recalibration using OEM diagnostic tools.

Step 05 · Pickup

Quality check and delivery

At pickup we walk you through every repair before you take the car. Keys-to-keys under 10 days on average; drivable repairs typically complete in 5–7 days. Every repair is documented on your vehicle's manufacturer service record. Labor and workmanship carry a lifetime warranty; parts carry the manufacturer's warranty.

"I love my 2019 Tesla X and would not take her anywhere but Alset Collision. This is her second visit. The bumper was torn off when I was side swiped. Again, great service and she looks like she just rolled off the showroom floor."

Linda Grother

"My Tesla Model Y was rear-ended. Alset provided outstanding service every step of the way. From coordinating with the insurance company to completing the repairs in just 3 days after drop-off, everything was handled smoothly and professionally."

Your Right To Choose .

01

Why most shops can't fix your Tesla

Most insurer-preferred shops aren't Tesla Approved Collision Centers — they can't source OEM parts directly from the manufacturer, don't carry the aluminum welding and bonding tooling Model S, X, and Y require, and don't refinish in Axalta. Florida Statute §626.9743 protects your right to choose a licensed repair facility, and for Tesla owners that choice is the difference between a certified repair and an approximation of one.

02

No DRP contracts — ever

We carry zero direct repair program (DRP) contracts. That means no insurer dictates which parts go on your Tesla, what labor rate we accept, or how the work gets done. We work with every insurance company — we just don't work for any of them. Our technicians decide what your Tesla needs based on the manufacturer's procedures, not an adjuster's spreadsheet.

03

Florida Statute §626.9743

Florida Statute §626.9743 protects your right to choose a licensed repair facility. An insurer cannot require you to use a specific shop. This right exists for every driver; for Tesla owners it matters more than usual because the number of shops equipped to work on these vehicles is small.

04

What you need to get started

For insurance repairs, file the claim with your insurer and get a claim number before you drop off the Tesla. We can't file the claim for you, and the vehicle can't sit in the shop waiting for a claim to open. Self-pay customers don't need a claim number — just call to schedule.

Common Questions

What Tesla owners ask before they bring their car in .

01

Can any body shop work on a Tesla?

Any licensed shop can attempt it. But only Tesla Approved Collision Centers can source original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts directly from the manufacturer and follow the manufacturer's documented repair procedures on an aluminum vehicle. Non-certified shops typically use aftermarket or salvaged parts, don't have aluminum-specific welding and bonding equipment, and don't refinish in Axalta.

02

Will my insurance cover repair at a Tesla Approved Collision Center?

Yes. We work with every insurance company. Florida Statute §626.9743 protects your right to choose a licensed repair facility — an insurer cannot require you to use a specific shop. We carry zero direct repair program (DRP) contracts, so no insurer dictates the scope of your repair.

03

Will this repair affect my Tesla warranty?

We follow the manufacturer's documented repair procedures and use original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts ordered directly from the manufacturer. Every repair is documented on your vehicle's manufacturer service record. Labor and workmanship carry a lifetime warranty from us; parts carry the manufacturer's warranty.

04

Will Autopilot and Full Self Driving work the same after the repair?

Yes. Any repair that removes or adjusts a panel near a camera, radar, or sensor mounting point requires post-repair recalibration using OEM diagnostic tools. We include this as a standard part of every qualifying repair — not an add-on you have to ask for.

05

How long does Tesla collision repair take?

Under 10 days keys-to-keys on average. Drivable repairs typically complete in 5–7 days. Non-drivable repairs take longer because teardown and parts-ordering cycles are longer. We give you a specific date after in-person inspection — not a vague range. You will hear from us five times a week during the repair: three text updates and two phone calls, every week your Tesla is with us.

06

What's different about Cybertruck collision repair?

The Cybertruck uses a stainless steel exoskeleton instead of aluminum panels. Stainless steel requires specific tooling and techniques that most body shops do not have. We are equipped. See the Cybertruck section on this page for detail.

07

Do you use OEM parts?

Exclusively. Every part is ordered directly from the manufacturer — no aftermarket, no salvage. Every part is documented on your vehicle's manufacturer service record.

08

How much will this cost?

If an at-fault other driver hit you, typically nothing out of pocket — we work with their insurance directly. If it's your claim, your deductible applies. Exact numbers are provided after in-person inspection, before any work starts. All estimates are done in person at our shop — teardown almost always reveals hidden damage that photos miss.

09

What if my Tesla isn't drivable?

Call us at (941) 837-2712. We can arrange towing from anywhere in the region directly to our shop. Don't have a claim number yet? Get one from your insurer first if you're filing through insurance, then call us. Self-pay drop-offs can be scheduled directly.

10

What Tesla models do you repair?

All of them — Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, and Cybertruck. Collision specialists since 2009.
