From central Osprey the drive south on US-41 is about 2 miles and typically 4 to 6 minutes. That is the short gap between the two places on Tamiami Trail, from published local commute notes. If you live west of the Trail, toward the bay, or east toward the interstate, add the time it takes to reach US-41. Then it is a straight south drive into Nokomis.

There is no reason to go north to Sarasota for this repair and then come back. Downtown Sarasota is the opposite direction, typically 22 to 30 minutes from Nokomis, which means an Osprey driver who overshoots north is adding a trip they do not need. Palmer Ranch and the south end of Sarasota sit just north of Osprey. If that is your actual start, you are still on the same US-41 southbound route, a few minutes farther than the 4 to 6 minute Osprey figure. The Sarasota page uses the downtown clock, which is longer. Use the Osprey clock only if you are starting here.

Venice is south of Nokomis, so you pass the shop before you would reach Venice. If a map suggests continuing to a Venice address, that is past the door. I-75 is east of Osprey. Commuters who use the Sarasota or Osprey interstate access still finish the trip on US-41. The shop is not at an exit. It is on the Trail.
